Texas Envirothon Teacher Workshop

Workshop #2: Current Issue
Date: Saturday, February 7
Time: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Location: Zoom
This workshop is an opportunity for team advisors, teachers, informal educators, and community members to participate in specialized training and get answers about the current issue, Non-point Source Pollution: It begins at home!
We’re also offering a $50 stipend for eligible participants, thanks to a grant from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality's Galveston Bay Estuary Program.
Stipend Eligibility:
- Limited to the first 16 teachers/advisors who register and attend
- Must be a high school teacher/advisor
- Must complete the UH System vendor setup (eligible participants will be emailed an invitation)

Workshop #1: Core Topics

Location: University of Houston-Clear Lake
This workshop provides an introduction to the four Envirothon core topics—Aquatic Ecology, Forestry, Soil and Land Use, and Wildlife. Participants will review the basics, explore teaching resources, and try out activities to get teams ready for Envirothon.
