In recognition of World Mental Health Day, UHCL’s Psychological Services Clinic will offer free mental health screenings on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

Screenings are a simple way to check in with yourself and connect with helpful resources. No appointment is required, though one may be scheduled by calling 281-283-3330. Free parking passes will be provided for attendees. This can be picked up after parking in one of the designated visitor spots in front of Arbor Building South, which is where the PSC is located.

Scare on the Square is UHCL's annual fall festival, bringing students, alumni, and the community together to celebrate the season. This free event is open to the public and offers seasonal activities, opportunities to connect with fellow Hawks, and a festive atmosphere for all ages.

35th Annual Chili Cook-Off

Date: Saturday, October 11, 2025
Location: Hunter Hall Backyard

Join us for the 35th Annual Chili Cook-Off! The Chili Cook-Off is the longest-standing tradition at UHCL hosted by the Center for Student Engagement.

All students, faculty, staff, alumni and the community are welcome to campus for chili tastings, food, music and fun. Members of the university community and alumni can form teams and submit their chili recipes for a chance at bragging rights. We hope that you can come to celebrate with us as it is a great opportunity to bring your family and friends to show them what UHCL is all about.

Join UHCL Distinguished Alumnus Craig Cordola ’98 MHA/MBA, CEO of Care Delivery and member of the Management Board at Fresenius Medical Care, for Leadership Unmasked. Hosted by the UHCL Healthcare Administration program, this inspiring webinar will explore leadership as a lifelong journey, the role of values in guiding careers, and the power of alumni connections. While hosted by Healthcare Administration, this event is open to all UHCL alumni and friends who want to grow as leaders.

This event will take place via Zoom. A link will be sent to all registrants prior to the event. It is free to attend and sponsored by the UHCL Alumni Association and the Healthcare Administration program.
