Get Acquainted with UHCL
Congratulations on your acceptance to University of Houston-Clear Lake! You will be joining a vibrant and diverse community of students from across Texas and around the world. Your next steps are to complete your mandatory transfer orientation process to ease your transition to UHCL.
Step 1: Connect with Transfer Advising
Please note, students will not enroll in courses during Orientation. You also are not required to attend Orientation before meeting with Transfer Advising. The Transfer Advising Office supports new transfer students with enrolling in classes, and guides them on how to navigate their online advising tools through the new Two-Step process.
Step 2: Sign Up for Transfer Student Orientation (TSO)
- January 8, 2022, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Please Note: The spring 2022 Transfer Student Orientation Session will be held virtually, via ZOOM. At this orientation session, you will learn about all aspects of campus life, connect with your academic college and learn about university resources. A one-time, non-refundable orientation fee of $50 is added to your tuition and fees.
Log in to E-Services, your UHCL student portal, using your Student ID number and password. Select the "Orientation" tile to sign up for TSO.
Optional: Pre-Orientation Appointment
Dec. 1-22, 2021 and Jan. 3-10, 2022
During this optional individual appointment, you have the opportunity to directly connect with an Orientation Leader who will individually address any concerns you may have. Your Orientation Leader will also lead you through campus and overview other campus resources based on your interests and needs. These 1-1 sessions are held virtually and in-person on weekdays only.
To schedule an appointment, use the Navigate App. Appointments can be scheduled starting the beginning of November 2021.
To ensure you have the best possible TSO experience, please review the following information so you'll be prepared before and after orientation:
Any person needing an accommodation for a disability in order to participate should contact Orientation and New Student Programs at 281-283-2420 or firstname.lastname@example.org at least one week prior to the event to arrange for the accommodation.
