We can assist you in your transition and help you to be successful at UHCL. We encourage you to take advantage of what UHCL has available for you - smaller classes, student organizations, and more!

Transfer Student Orientation (TSO) Sessions

Choose the best TSO for you:

  • TSO Express
    Get a quick snapshot of the UHCL services and resources available to you. Guests are welcome.

  • TSO Expanded
    Get a more hands-on and personal experience with an opportunity to make personal connections with students, faculty and staff, while learning about the services and resources available to you. Limited to students only

Cost:

  • Fee: A $50 orientation fee is applied to an attending student’s overall tuition and fees.
  • Guests: $20 nonrefundable fee/guest. Use the guest payment link in the session description.

When You Come to Orientation

Bring:

  • Your UHCL student ID number
  • Something to take notes with
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Sweater or jacket

Park free in Lot D and Lot R, Campus Parking

Parking Directions with Map

Lot R is a small parking lot off University Drive and near the Bayou Building sculpture (Spiritus Mundi):

  1. From Entrance 1, take University Drive across the bridge.
  2. The first parking lot on your left is Lot R.
  3. If you go too far, you will pass the entrance to the Bayou Building. Please U-Turn and follow previous directions.

Lot D is the largest parking lot off Bayou Road East:

  1. From Entrance 1, take University Drive across the bridge.
  2. Make a right on Bayou Road East.
  3. Go past the park and Nature Trail Entrance.
  4. On your left, you'll see multiple entrances to a very large parking Lot D.
  5. Go past the first one (employee parking only) and turn left in any of the other entrances.
  6. If you go too far, you will go to Middlebrook Drive (Entrance 3).
UHCL Orientation Parking - free in Lot D and Lot R.
During Orientation, attendees can park for free in Lot D (off SSCB) or Lot R (across from the Bayou Building).

After Orientation

Orientation and New Student Programs (ONSP) provides various programs focused on helping in your successful transition to UHCL and connecting you with the campus community. Programs include Weeks of Welcome and Midterms and Finals outreach.
