Our team is excited for you to join us on campus! Below you will find information
regarding what to expect when moving into Hunter Residence Hall as well as how we
are accounting for the health and safety of students, families, and staff.
If you have not already done so, please login and complete the Housing process in the UHCL Housing Application System.
In addition, if you do not already have an updated Hawk Card, you are required to upload your photo at www.uhcl.edu/hawkcard before moving into Hunter Residence Hall. Once you receive an email that it is ready, you will then need to visit the Student Enrollment Center in SSCB (next to Admissions) to pick up your Hawk Card. Our staff will then grant you swipe access to Hunter Residence Hall (exterior doors and suite door).
As always, if you have any questions, please contact Student Housing and Residential Life via email at email@example.com or phone at 281-283-2615.
Hunter Residence Hall Fall 2022 Move-In Information
We advise entering into campus via Entrance #3 at Bayou Road E., from Middlebrook Drive. This entrance will bring you the closest to Hunter Residence Hall.
Friend and Family Expectations
Please note that no more than four family members/friends/guests may accompany a student into Hunter Residence Hall to assist during the move-in process.
All students, family, friends, and guests are encouraged to practice social distancing with individuals outside of their party throughout the move-in process. Wearing masks and utilizing hand sanitizer is encouraged while in Hunter Residence Hall.
Move-In Process and Schedule
For Fall 2022, all students may move into Hunter Residence Hall between Friday, August 19, 2022 and Sunday, August 21, 2022. Move-in occurs daily between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
All students will check in at the front desk (inside the hall). Students will receive their Room Condition Report and mailbox key.
At check-in, there will be friendly students and staff ready to greet and assist you with the process, hand out campus resources, and answer any questions you may have. You will be permitted to use moving bins (as available, should you require one), which will be disinfected after each use. As there may be a delay at times, feel free to bring your own moving equipment.
We will make sure your Resident Advisor (RA) stops by your room on your check-in day, to meet and greet you. This upper-class student leader is here to assist you during your stay in Hunter Residence Hall.
Students requesting to move into Hunter Residence Hall prior to August 19, 2022 should email firstname.lastname@example.org. In the email, state your Name, ID#, Room#, and desired move-in Date and Time. Students approved to move in early will be subject to a daily early arrival fee of $25.00.
If you and/or a member of your family requires an accommodation during Move-In, please reach out to Student Housing and Residential Life at email@example.com at least two weeks prior to August 19, 2022. We are here to make the move-in process as easy and stress-free as possible.
Each room in Hunter Residence Hall comes with a Twin-size bed (XL), a desk and chair, a closet area with a small bar for hanging clothes, a set of drawers, and an Ethernet port. All beds are loftable.
