All it takes is a phone call to the police dispatcher at 281-283-2222 or a press of the blue Help button in the SafeZone app.

Use the Check In feature in SafeZone and our dispatchers will know exactly where to meet you. Then give dispatch a call by dialing or pressing the blue Help button; request an escort to a particular campus location and we will dispatch an officer or Hawk Patrol to walk with you or to give you a ride.

Many students or employees need to be on campus at night or at odd hours. Perhaps you feel nervous when you need to walk some distance to your vehicle, Hunter Residence Hall, or another building on campus. If for some reason you would feel more comfortable having someone walk with you, please give us a call, use the SafeZone app, or both. Safety escorts are not for convenience but to assist the UHCL community with safety needs.
