Take the uncertainty out of the college admissions process. If you attend a participating school district and meet the requirements, your admission to UHCL is guaranteed, It’s a clear path from high school to a four-year university close to home.
How Guaranteed Admission Works
Getting started is simple:
- Graduate from a participating school district.
- Earn at least a 2.75 calculated unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Apply to UHCL and submit your official transcript.
- That’s it. If you meet the requirements, your admission to UHCL is guaranteed.
No SAT or ACT score is required for admission, and qualified students receive a $45 application fee waiver.

Affordability Without Compromise
College affordability matters. Through Hawk Promise, qualifying Texas students from families with adjusted gross incomes of up to $100,000 can have tuition and mandatory fees covered.
