Take the uncertainty out of the college admissions process. If you attend a participating school district and meet the requirements, your admission to UHCL is guaranteed, It’s a clear path from high school to a four-year university close to home.
How Guaranteed Admission Works
Getting started is simple:
- Graduate from a participating school district.
- Earn at least a 2.75 calculated unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Apply to UHCL and submit your official transcript.
- That’s it. If you meet the requirements, your admission to UHCL is guaranteed.
No SAT or ACT score is required for admission, and qualified students receive a $45 application fee waiver. Note: Some academic programs may have additional, secondary or special admission requirements
Affordability Without Compromise
College affordability matters. Through Hawk Promise, qualifying Texas students from families with adjusted gross incomes of up to $100,000 can have tuition and mandatory fees covered.
