Types of Contracts

UHCL conducts a wide array of business transactions via contract, with myriad vendors. Vendors may agree to sign a standard purchasing agreement (SPA), or in particular cases, a specialty contract such as a speaker agreement, for example. In cases where the vendor prefers their terms and conditions instead of ours, we must obtain a standard contract addendum (SCA) which incorporates their template language into our agreement. The SCA requires legal approval when changes are made or the agreement is over $50,000.
