- Orientation: This is recommended for graduate students as it provides an opportunity to:
- Visit the campus.
- Meet advisers in your school.
- Interact with current students and your new colleagues.

- Tuesday, July 28 | 1 - 3 p.m. (via Zoom)*
- Saturday, Aug. 15 | 8 - 10 a.m. (via Zoom)*
*At the end of the session, you will be added to an online Blackboard course to complete the orientation requirement.

The sample schedules give a general idea of typical orientation activities. Your actual schedule may have different starting times and activities, depending on which TSO session you choose.

Before Orientation
Bring:
- Your UHCL student ID number
- Something to take notes with
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Sweater or jacket
Park free in Lot D and Lot R, Campus Parking
Lot R is a small parking lot off University Drive and near the Bayou Building sculpture (Spiritus Mundi):
- From Entrance 1, take University Drive across the bridge.
- The first parking lot on your left is Lot R.
- If you go too far, you will pass the entrance to the Bayou Building. Please U-Turn and follow previous directions.
Lot D is the largest parking lot off Bayou Road East:
- From Entrance 1, take University Drive across the bridge.
- Make a right on Bayou Road East.
- Go past the park and Nature Trail Entrance.
- On your left, you'll see multiple entrances to a very large parking Lot D.
- Go past the first one (employee parking only) and turn left in any of the other entrances.
- If you go too far, you will go to Middlebrook Drive (Entrance 3).

During Orientation, attendees can park for free in Lot D (off SSCB) or Lot R (across from the Bayou Building).

Orientation and New Student Programs (ONSP) provides various programs focused on helping in your successful transition to UHCL and connecting you with the campus community.
