Lexi Herrera joined the University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) as the Director of Academic Communications in August 2023. She is responsible for the promotion of academic programs, faculty achievements, and student success, as well as the dissemination of information from the colleges, academic support areas, and UHCL institutes. 

With over 10 years of experience in communications, public relations, and marketing, she has worked in both public and higher education settings. 

Lexi holds a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations and Communications from the same university. Prior to her role at UHCL, Lexi served as the Assistant Director of Communications at Spring Branch ISD in Houston.
