Candidate Plan of Study

Undergraduate

A Candidate Plan of Study or CPS is a degree plan that lists all courses required to obtain a degree. It is valid for 7 years provided the student maintains continuous enrollment. The academic advisor evaluates transcripts to determine satisfaction of upper and lower level business requirements. The student will receive the CPS via e-mail and should promptly acknowledge receipt by responding to the e-mail as directed. The academic advisor should be contacted promptly if the student has questions or concerns.

Graduate

All graduate Candidate Plans of Study are valid for 5 years. The academic advisor evaluates prior course work to determine whether a foundation course can be waived. The student will receive the CPS via e-mail and should promptly acknowledge receipt by responding to the e-mail as directed. The academic advisor should be contacted promptly if the student has questions or concerns.

Faculty Mentors

Also identified on the undergraduate and graduate CPS is a faculty mentor. The faculty mentor can be a helpful contact for students with questions about the degree program or career considerations. College of Human Sciences and Humanities faculty and Career Services are invaluable resources for students facing career decisions and current or future job searches.
