Spam Management

All incoming e-mails sent to UHCL students, faculty, and staff pass through a mail filtering software called Proofpoint. Proofpoint enforces anti-spam, anti-virus, and file filtering policies for UHCL mailboxes. Incoming email is inspected by the Proofpoint Protection Server the moment it arrives at UHCL. 

If mail gets caught in quarantine, you will receive a personal Digest email from spammanager@uhcl.edu. Quarantined mail listed here will be sorted into different categories so you can decide what action to take.

Proofpoint allows for Personal Lists for you to set up your own Safe Sender and Blocked Sender lists, as well as an easy way report spam to UHCL Security.

You can also log into the Proofpoint web interface to release quarantined email.  Just log in using your UHCL login credentials.
