Respondus Exam 4.0 is a software application for Windows-based computers that enables instructors to readily create and/or import pools of exam/quiz questions and move those pools into their Canvas courses. The software also enables instructors to extract existing exams/quizzes and/or pools from a Canvas course and save them in a Word document for review/editing or documentation purposes.

Respondus is available to UH-Clear Lake faculty and staff only. Authorized users can install and set up Respondus easily on your UHCL-issued device (Windows-based ONLY), or you may contact OIT's Instructional Design and Technology (IDT) team for installation assistance. To contact the IDT team, please send an email to IDT@uhcl.edu.

If you have already installed and configured Respondus and are in need of assistance regarding how to use the software, contact your school's assigned instructional designer or email the IDT team at IDT@uhcl.edu.

Downloading and Installing Respondus Exam

Respondus Exam is now available from the Software Center on your UHCL-provided Windows-based workstation or laptop computer. However, before downloading the application from UHCL's Software Center, contact your designated instructional design or the IDT team to request the password and related information you'll be required to enter during installation.
