Pursue advanced studies in the science of psychology and its practical applications with a Master of Science in Psychology at University of Houston-Clear Lake. Our curriculum provides broad training across the major areas of psychology including social, cognitive, developmental and neuroscience, as well as research design and analysis. Additionally, students are able to focus their studies in specialty areas. Students are able to complete either a thesis track to develop skills in conducting independent research or an internship track where they can gain hands-on experience in areas such as college teaching, working with human services, running research studies, or working in student services.

Admission Requirements

Application
- Spring 2024: Apply online through www.applytexas.org.
- Summer or Fall 2024 (and beyond): Apply online through the UHCL Graduate Application Portal
Documents for admission are submitted after completion of the application. All required documents are due by the Graduate and International Admissions application deadlines.
Admission in the Psychology M.S. concentrations (Human Factors and Neuroscience) may be given as an incoming or current UHCL student. Students may initially seek acceptance into the Psychology, M.S. then apply to the concentrations by the deadlines for the following Fall semester. Acceptance into the Psychology, M.S. program does NOT guarantee acceptance into the concentration programs.

Requirements
- GRE Scores Not Required: The GRE requirement will automatically be removed after successful submission of the admission application.
- Official Transcripts: Students should submit official transcripts from every college
or university attended to the University of Houston-Clear Lake, Office of Admissions
or International Admissions.
- Please review New Student Admissions in the Graduate Catalog under Transcripts and Records Information to learn how to submit an official college transcript to UHCL.

Admission Review Process
If the last 60-hour GPA is below a 3.5 or an applicant has not completed a prior advanced degree, student admission files will be sent to the program for individual review.
