Biography
Dr. James is an assistant professor in the psychology department. She received her
                                 Ph.D. at the University of California, Santa Cruz, working in the Human Memory lab
                                 with advisor Benjamin C. Storm. 
She studies human learning and memory with a focus on testing and technology in education.
                                 Dr. James is interested in how we can utilize a theoretical understanding of human
                                 memory to improve educational systems and how we can utilize knowledge of student
                                 performance to improve our theoretical understanding of human memory. 
Additionally, her research aims to address how learning and memory are changing in
                                 the digital age, and in particular how constant access to the internet is changing
                                 the ways we use our memory and what we are able to retain long-term.
