Mileage

Mileage is calculated and reimbursed within Concur.

• The current state mileage reimbursement rate for travel is updated annually from the IRS and can be obtained at https://fmx.cpa.texas.gov/fmx/travel/textravel/rates/current.php
• Mileage from the travelers residence is allowed only if it is equal to or less than from UHCL.
• Mileage reimbursement for out-of-state travel may not exceed comparative airfare cost. 
• Mileage can only be claimed on the traveler's personal vehicle.
• UHCL requires the traveler to use the most cost-effective route.

Blanket Mileage

Blanket mileage area is defined as travel in Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montogomery, Waller and Wharton Counties.

Please note: overnight travel in the UHCL Blanket Mileage Area is non-reimbursable without prior approval from the AVP Business Operations and is taxable to the employee.
