General / Preventive Medical
Students with routine medical problems may be evaluated and treated on a walk-in basis. An appointment is necessary for students requiring physician services. All students are encouraged to seek information regarding health and well-being in the areas of preventive medical care. Health literature is available in the Health Center.
Gynecology
The Women's Health Clinic offers complete gynecological services to students including pap test, breast exam, contraception and hormone therapy. Consultations and tests for various forms of vaginitis, sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy are available. STD and safe sex education are provided with low cost testing.
Laboratory
Specimens for laboratory tests, ordered either by Health Center physicians or personal physician, can be drawn by Health Center staff and/or CPL Draw Site and sent to a contracted medical lab for testing at reduced fees. Laboratory test specials and screenings are held periodically.
Pharmacy
The Health Center pharmacy supplies medications to students at reduced costs. Medications stocked are those most commonly prescribed by the Health Center physicians, including birth control and antibiotics. Over-the-counter medications and a variety of health products are also available.
Injections
Immunizations and TB tests are administered by Health Center nurses. Allergy and contraception injections require documentation signed by the prescribing physician.
