Faculty Research Interests

Pure and Applied Mathematics

Boundary value problems and numerical partial differential equations, control theory, dynamical systems and bifurcations, financial mathematics, optimization, probability and stochastic process, Steklov eigenproblems, symmetry, biomathematics. Lattice-ordered rings and algebras, Minkowski geometry, convex and discrete geometry. Mathematics education.

Statistics and Data Science

Regression, design of experiments, spatial statistics, Bayesian, distribution theory, times series analysis, data mining, machine learning, computational statistics, sport analytics, and survival analysis.

Facilities and Student Support

Students are free to work in the department's well-maintained computer lab, where many math and statistics software applications are installed on each machine. Typically, every graduate student can apply for some financial support while working as a Teaching Assistant (TA).
