Minnie Stevens Piper Award

Annually, the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation grants the Piper Professor Award to 10 Texas college or university professors in honor of their teaching excellence. Each year, the UHCL's Piper Award Committee selects one professor to honor for excellence in teaching and represent the university in the state-level competition. Current and former students and faculty have an opportunity to submit nominations for this award during the fall semester. 

Nominations for 2026-2027 will open Fall 2026.
