He has a strong record of advancing student outcomes, aligning student success strategies with institutional priorities, and using data analytics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
Most recently, Dr. Tack has served as Associate Vice President for Academic Engagement at Florida Gulf Coast University, where he provided strategic leadership for a broad academic engagement portfolio that included advising, retention and graduation services, career development, first-year seminars, academic support, internships and cooperative education, TRIO and outreach programs, and accessibility services. In his role at UHCL, Dr. Tack will lead a comprehensive student success portfolio, including accessibility services, advising, retention and completion initiatives, student platforms such as EAB Navigate, student success and academic support services, and the testing center. He will partner closely with campus stakeholders to strengthen a coordinated, student-centered approach that supports persistence, timely degree completion, and post-graduation success.
Please join me in welcoming Dr. Tack to the UHCL community.
Sincerely,
Edward R. Waller, Ph.D.
