Biography
Chris Ward is a professor of psychology and neuroscience. He earned his doctorate in experimental psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi and was a post-doctoral fellow at Harvard Medical School.
Prior to joining the faculty at UHCL, Dr. Ward held faculty appointments at Stonehill College, Harvard Medical School, and the University of Florida. He is currently an adjunct assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Ward’s main research interest is sleep and sleep disorders. Specifically, he studies
the neural mechanisms of sleepiness and their effects on learning and memory. His
research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, foundations, and private
corporations.
