Biography
Chris Ward is a professor of psychology and neuroscience. He earned his doctorate
in experimental psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi and was a post-doctoral
fellow in neuroscience at Harvard Medical School.
Prior to joining the faculty at UHCL, Dr. Ward held faculty appointments at Stonehill
College, Harvard Medical School, and the University of Florida. He is an adjunct faculty
member at Baylor College of Medicine.
Dr. Ward’s main research interest is sleep and sleep disorders. Specifically, he studies
the effects of sleepiness on learning and memory and stress response. His research
has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, foundations, and private corporations.
