Biography
Elizabeth Klett is Professor of English and teaches courses on Shakespeare, early modern and modern drama, Jane Austen, film studies, and genre fiction. She has a Ph.D. and M.A. in English Literature from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an M.A. in Shakespeare Studies from the Shakespeare Institute at the University of Birmingham, UK, and a B.A. in English and Theatre from Drew University. She is the author of two books: Choreographing Shakespeare: Dance Adaptations of the Plays and Poems (Routledge, 2020) and Cross-Gender Shakespeare and English National Identity: Wearing the Codpiece (Palgrave, 2009). She writes and researches on literary adaptations for various modes of performance, including theatre, film, dance, television, and music.
