Compensation Philosophy

HR Compensation at University of Houston-Clear Lake is responsible for the continued development and review of the university's staff pay plans in accordance with the staff compensation policyWe strive to attract and retain a high-performing and motivated workforce through fair and consistently applied compensation procedures.

The Compensation team is available to assist with new positions, processing requests to reclassify existing positions, providing wage and salary information, and assisting with organizational design and development. All decisions are made to ensure fairness and equity, recognizing that the university must remain competitive in the market, and in consideration of fiscal responsibility.
