Aldine ISD


  1. Field Experience Requests and course rosters are to be submitted to the CPDT office.
  2. College/University letter or syllabus stating that observations are a part of the semester course requirements.  
  3. Fall Observations begin after the 3rd week in September and end the second week of December.
  4. Fall Observation requests submission timeline – beginning of each semester through the end of November.
  5. Spring Observations begin after the 3rd week in January and ends the second week of May.
  6. Spring Observation requests submission timeline – beginning of each semester through the first week of May.

Note: Students will forward district approval letters/emails if available to the course instructor.


  1. Complete the Online Application. (under careers, teacher certifications, observation hours request) 
  2. Select and apply for "observation hours request"
  3. Download the Observation Request Packet from the Aldine ISD Human Resources website. Fill out the form completely, being sure to identify any preference of campus.  
  4. Please add the school(s) you wish to do observations on. (It is suggested to add 2-3 schools) 
  5. Submit a letter from the organization requiring you to complete observation hours.  Letter must be on official letterhead, specifically state the number of hours required, and reasoning observation hours are being completed.
  6. Provide a copy of a valid driver's license or ID and please write your social security on the forms.
  7. Once your application is submitted and your background check is complete, please allow 7 to 10 business days to get your observation approval. It will be emailed to you. Please note that each observation approval has an expiration date and is valid for one semester only.
