Show Your Hawk Pride and Connect with Others
When you participate in campus life, you add a dynamic and enriching element to your college experience. That's why UHCL offers a range of events throughout the year, giving you plenty of opportunities to have fun and connect with others. Whether you like games, cultural celebrations, or just showing your Hawk pride, there's an event to look forward to every semester. Get involved with UHCL's campus activities and explore life outside the classroom, expand your circle of friends, and make memories for years to come.
Annual Events
Since we believe that there's more to UHCL than just going to class every day, we hold a number of annual events that bring everyone together. While our most famous event is the annual Chili Cook-Off, we also hold annual musical performances and celebratory events for the student body and surrounding community.

Campus Traditions
With an impressive legacy in the area that stretches back over 40 years, we're proud of our traditions at University of Houston-Clear Lake. We start fall off with "I Heart UHCL Day" each October, we show our Hawk spirit with Blue and Green Wednesday each week, and we celebrate our Chili Cook-Off every spring. Come catch the Hawk Spirit!
