Ms. Place is a marketing lecturer at UHCL. Her entire career was spent in consumer products marketing. She began working in advertising for Leo Burnett Company on brands such as United Airlines and Kellogg’s. After college she was hired by Procter & Gamble to sell Folgers. This led to a career in brand management with profit and loss responsibilities for the following brands: Butterball, Brown ‘N Serve, Keebler, Totino’s, Green Giant, and Pillsbury Toaster Strudel. Ms. Place also served with Nielsen Marketing Research to identify growth opportunities for Haagen Dazs, Progresso, and Old El Paso. She has experience with growing a small entrepreneurial business, Michael Angelo’s Italian Gourmet Entrees, into a national brand. She currently enjoys serving her student customers to help them fulfill their dreams.
