Shanshan Pan is an assistant professor of accounting at University of Houston-Clear Lake. She earned her Ph.D. in Accounting from Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge, LA. Currently, she teaches Intermediate Accounting I and Cost Accounting. Her primary research interests are in the area of financial accounting and reporting, specifically market anomaly, earnings quality, earnings management, financial analysts, and cash flows. Her research has been presented in various national and international academic conferences, including the American Accounting Association Annual Meeting, the Canadian Academic Accounting Association Annual Conference, and the European Accounting Association Annual Congress. She was an inductee of the honor societies of Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi. Before entering academia, she worked as an accountant at a Fortune 50 company and a project manager at an international trading company.
