Dr. Gu is an assistant professor of Decision Sciences at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. She teaches Supply Chain Management and Management Science and Operations. In addition to her Ph.D. in Operations Management from Texas Tech University in 2013, she holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, a MS in Biochemistry from Indiana University, and a BS in Chemistry from Campbell University. She has more than a decade of managerial experience from major pharmaceutical firms in the functional areas of strategic planning, global new product development and international regulatory affairs. Her current research interests include new product management, strategic management, social media, and technology adoption. She has published her research in journals such as Decision Support System, International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Electronic Healthcare, and Quality Management Journal, among others. She is the recipient of the 2012 Texas Tech Doctoral Student Outstanding Research Award, and is a member of Decision Sciences Institute.
