Ken Black, Ph.D.

Ken Black is a professor of Decision Sciences and has been at UHCL for twenty-nine years. Dr. Black has a Ph.D. in management science and a second Ph.D. in educational research. He has published more than twenty articles, twenty-five professional paper presentations, and three textbooks. He has received the Piper Award as the outstanding teacher at UHCL and the Outstanding Educator Award from the Southwest Region's Decision Sciences Institute. He has served as President of UHCL's Council of Professors. His research and consulting interests are in the area of quality improvement where his is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
