Biography
Dr. Yvette Bendeck has been part of the University of Houston-Clear Lake team since 1988. In addition to serving as faculty, she was associate vice president for Enrollment Management (2008-2018) and associate vice president of Academic Affairs (2003-2008). In these roles she oversaw strategic recruitment, marketing, retention, and progression planning, leading the university to 16% growth in enrollment during her tenure as an academic administrator.
Dr. Bendeck received her B.S. in industrial management and M.S in financial economics from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She also received her Ph.D. in finance from Arizona State University. Her scholarly work has been published in some of the top-tier, peer-reviewed journals in her field, such as the Journal of Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, and the Journal of Monetary Economics.
She is a native from Honduras and is fluent in Spanish.
