2022 UHCL SACSCOC Reaffirmation Process

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, master’s or doctoral degrees. Questions about the accreditation of the University of Houston – Clear Lake may be directed in writing to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, GA 30033-4097, by calling (404) 679-4500, or by using information available on SACSCOC’s website (www.sacscoc.org).

To maintain our SACSCOC accreditation, UHCL must comply with the standards and requirements in The Principles of Accreditation: Foundations for Quality Enhancement and with the Commission’s policies and procedures and submit every ten years a reaffirmation (compliance certification) report including a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP).

UHCL’s next SACSCOC ten-year re-accreditation visit will be in 2022; the compliance certification report must be submitted Fall 2021; the QEP must be submitted early spring 2022. Beginning in January 2020, the UHCL Reaffirmation Team—a Leadership team, a Compliance Certification team, and a QEP team—and its committees began work on compliance documents.
