College Credit for Heroes
Get College Credit for Your Military Service
You served. You learned. Now it's time to earn college credit for your service.
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) awarded a grant in the amount of $198,154 to the University of Houston-Clear Lake through its College Credit for Heroes (CCH) program, a statewide effort designed to maximize the award of college credit to veterans and service members for their military experience.
Save Time. Save Money. Advance Your Career.
Thanks to CCH grant funding, UHCL now offers a streamlined process to evaluate and apply military training for academic credit toward select bachelor’s degrees. That means:
- Fewer classes to graduate
- Reduced tuition costs
- Faster entry into your career
As of Fall 2024, eligible military-connected students can request an official review of their Joint Services Transcript (JST) for credit toward select UHCL degrees.
Military-Friendly Degree Pathways
UHCL evaluates military experience using the American Council on Education (ACE) Military Guide, ensuring your training is aligned with university credit standards. Explore how your military education may count toward the following degrees:
