Student Conference for Research and Creative Arts

The 32nd Annual Student Conference for Research and Creative Arts is April 20-25, 2026

We are pleased to invite both undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines to present their research and creative work in this annual event. Students from non UHCL institutions and partner high schools are also welcome to participate.

The public is welcome to attend conference sessions at no cost. Those interested in volunteering may contact studentconf@uhcl.edu. Opportunities vary based on conference needs and availability.

Conference Overview

The Annual Student Conference for Research and Creative Arts is a wonderful opportunity for students to gain experience presenting their accomplishment and to receive feedback from peers and faculty in a supportive environment.  

Submission Process

Student participation is coordinated through faculty sponsors. Faculty sponsors submit participation entries on behalf of their students using the Faculty Sponsor Submission Form. Faculty sponsors may also email studentconf@uhcl.edu with the required information, if preferred.

The conference is organized into tracks aligned with colleges and broad disciplines. To ensure strong sessions and a smooth schedule, presentations may be grouped across colleges, institutions, or disciplines when needed. Participation from non-UHCL institutions and partner high schools will be assigned to the most appropriate track.

Submission Deadline Extended: March 16, 2026
Note: For participants from the Second Eight Weeks Session, a separate submission deadline may apply.
Conference Week: April 20 - 25, 2026

We appreciate your interest and participation. The conference is a free showcase where students present original work from any discipline in a variety of formats.

First-time student presenters, at both undergraduate and graduate levels, are strongly encouraged.
