Biography

Dr. Bhowmick is an organic, organometallic, and polymer chemist. His research focuses on developing new metal catalysts for synthesizing organic compounds. The research also focuses on synthesizing fluorinated organic molecules as organic light emitting diode application. He is also interested in metal catalyzed glycosidic bond formation of carbohydrates. He also uses density functional theory to understand the electronic structures of organic and organometallic compounds for better understanding their catalytic activity.
