Flexible summer and fall enrollment options make it easier to move forward on your schedule — with clear steps and personalized guidance the entire way.
To register for classes, you must be an incoming admitted student or a current active student.

First-Year students (0-29 college credits after high school)
- Submit your application at applytexas.com.
- Send official transcripts and any other required documentation.

Transfer students (30+ college credits after high school)

Returning students (over a year since you've enrolled in a class)
If you previously attended UHCL but have taken a year or more break, we welcome you back and can help you re-enroll. Visit Returning Students.

Summer 8 & 5-Week Sessions
- Open Registration, April 10 – May 29
- Classes start on Monday, June 1
- Payment Deadline, Wednesday, May 27 at 5 p.m.
Summer 4-Week Session
- Open Registration, April 10 – May 29
- Classes start on Monday, July 6
- Payment Deadline, Tuesday, June 30 at 5 p.m.
Fall Regular 15-Week and First 8-Week Sessions
- Fall Open Registration, April 10 – August 14
- Classes start on Monday, August 17
- Payment Deadline, Tuesday, August 11 at 5 p.m.

Payment is not due at the time of registration. However, if payment is not made by the payment deadline, you may be dropped from classes. See payment details below.
Enroll in Classes at UHCL
When it's time to enroll in classes for the upcoming semester, you will be contacted by the Office of the Registrar with specific times and instructions.
Before you enroll, you can view the Class Schedule to see what's available.
To Add a Class
View "Add a Class" Help Document
- Log into E-Services with your Student ID and Password.
- Select the "Academic Records" icon.
- Select "Enrollment: Add Classes."
- Select a term to enroll.
- Select "Class Search" drop-down menu OR Enter the "Class Nbr," if you know it.
- Select your preferred time and section of the class. If required, enter the "Permission Nbr" in appropriate field.
- The class you selected will appear in your shopping cart. Click "Proceed to Step 2 of 3" to confirm your selection.
- Select "Finish Enrolling." You should now see the class successfully added to your schedule.
To Drop a Class

- Log into E-Services with your Student ID and Password.
- Select "Academic Records."
- Select "Enrollment: Drop Classes."
- Select the applicable semester.
- Select the class you want to drop. Click "Drop Selected Classes."
- Confirm you have selected the right class to drop. Click "Finish Dropping."
- Confirm you have dropped the class.
View Your Class Schedule
Once you have enrolled in classes for an upcoming semester, it's important to check what you're taking to confirm your class schedule matches your life schedule and education goals.
- Log into E-Services with your Student ID and Password.
- Select "Academic Records."
- Select "My Class Schedule."
- Review the classes you’ve signed up for next semester as well as this current semester. If you need to then add or drop a class, refer to the instructions and links also on this page.
- Prep for Your Semester

Pay for Your ClassesTuition and fees payments are due before the start of the semester. Make sure you know your payment due dates to avoid late fees or being dropped from your classes, and explore payment plans. View tuition and fees due under "Finances" in E-Services. For more info, visit Student Business Services.

Get Your Hawk ID CardYour Hawk ID card is needed to enter the Recreation and Wellness Center, print documents in the computer lab, and enter Hunter Residence Hall if you are a resident.

Buy a Parking PermitParking permits are required for students to park on campus. You can choose from an annual permit or a semester permit.

Explore CampusCheck out a campus map and familiarize yourself with campus buildings and parking lots to find your classes.

Get Your Textbooks and UHCL SwagReach out to the UHCL Campus Store or visit the UHCL Spirit Store. Both are located on the first floor of the Bayou Bldg. Search for and purchase textbooks and UHCL gear.
