Core Collection

About the Core Collection

  • Contains Books, e-books, journals, e-journals, DVDs, electronic databases and more
  • Most organized by Library of Congress Classification System
  • Formed in 1974 with 60,000 volumes from St. Joseph's College, MD on religion, art, and nursing
  • 123,000 volumes from Parsons College, IA on the liberal arts

The Core Collection is located both library floors in General Stacks.

 

Curriculum Library

About the Curriculum Library

  • Supports elementary and secondary education programs
  • Texas state-adopted textbooks and teacher's editions, as well as supporting material
  • Organized by Dewey Decimal Classification System

UHCL Archives

About the UHCL Archives

  • Established in 1989
  • Supports research, access, and preservation of its collections.
  • Serves as the repository of non-current records of the University of Houston-Clear Lake, has custody of the Johnson Space Center History Collection, and collects materials relating to Human Space Flight and Clear Lake area history.
  • Open for research to UHCL students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the general public.
