Andrew Flores

Andrew Flores is an undergraduate research assistant with the Environmental Institute of Houston's research team. He is currently pursuing a bachelor's in environmental science with a specialization in biology. While at EIH, Andrew is assisting with the "Tracking Perkinsus marinus (Dermo) Infection in Sun-Cured Oysters" and the "Baseline Comparative Soil and Vegetation Assessment for Areas with Native Vegetation Versus Non-native" projects. He also assists with laboratory work for other EIH projects as needed.

In addition to his role at EIH, Andrew works as an educator at Armand Bayou Nature Center, facilitating guided tours, outreach programs, and educational classes. In his free time, Andrew enjoys hiking, going to festivals, introducing friends to the outdoors, and encouraging newcomers to experience nature.
