Amanda Anderson graduated from UHCL with a Master of Science in Environmental Science from the School of Science and Engineering in 2014. Her thesis project was titled The Factors Affecting Productivity and Parental Behavior of American Oystercatchers in Texas. While working on her degree at UHCL, Anderson worked as a research assistant at EIH. She currently serves as an avian ecologist with the U.S. Geological Survey's National Wetlands Research Center in Lafayette, La.
