Soaring Hawks Grant Funded Summer Camps

Soaring Hawks Code Academy: 6th - 8th Grade

Funded by a grant through Halliburton.

Free: Soaring Hawks Code Academy: 6th - 8th Grade Application   

Additional Requirements: A student-written essay must be included with this application. The essay should not exceed 250 words. In your essay tell the selection committee why you are interested in attending the 2026 Soaring Hawks Code Academy at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Include in your essay what you hope to gain from this experience, how you think it will help you in the future, and why you think you should be selected to attend this camp.  There will be a space in the application to type the essay directly or copy and paste from another location.

Explore STEM: Students With Disabilities      Ages 14-22

The Texas Workforce Commission Vocational Rehabilitation Division (TWC-VRD) is supporting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) camps designed to provide students with disabilities (ages 14-22) the opportunity to learn about STEM occupations through instruction, hands-on activities, and interaction with individuals who work in STEM fields.

Monday-Friday
8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
All classes are online

  • June 15 - 19: Introduction to Digital Design, Art and Animation
  • June 22-26: Intro to Music and Sound Development
  • July 13-17: Introduction to Coding and Video Game Development

Required Forms for All Students 

All campers must have  three completed forms on file to participate in KidsU. Please complete the forms before the first day of camp.

KidsU Forms - must be completed prior to the first day of camp.
