Congratulations to UHCL alumni, Joy Addison, '21 MA who joined the KPRC 2 News team as a reporter in November 2024. Joy earned her MA in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from University of Houston-Clear Lake and also has a degree from the University of Mississippi where she studied Journalism and Psychology.
"Pursuing my Masters in Industrial and Organizational Psychology while working as a news reporter taught me discipline, focus, sacrifice and ultimately, balance," said Addison. "Though I don't currently practice as a full-time practitioner, I’m still involved in several I/O Psychology associations and try to stay in touch with my UHCL professors. They were the best at helping me balance a full-time career and additional education endeavor. Currently, news has my heart, but if I ever switch back to I/O, I know that UHCL will always be a great resource to help me transition back into the field."
Look for this UHCL alumna on KPRC 2!
