While the university is operating under Code 2 conditions, the Writing Center's Online Writing Studio (OWS) now offers both appointment and drop-in writing consultations.

Limited Face-to-Face Appointment Options
In addition to online writing consultations, the Writing Center now has limited face-to-face appointment options available at the Clear Lake campus only during the following hours:
- Mondays: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Tuesdays: 3–7 p.m.
- Wednesdays: 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
- Thursdays: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Fridays: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
To minimize health risks, group consultations are not available on campus at this time.
We ask that you bring two copies of any documents you would like to share with your consultant for a face-to-face session. Please note that only 3 visitors may be in the Writing Center at the same time. Both social distancing and face masks will be required on campus at all times.

Improve Your Writing Skills
The Writing Center at University of Houston-Clear Lake assists students, faculty, staff and alumni with both academic and personal writing projects.
Through online, face-to-face and workshop-based consultations, the Writing Center staff works with clients regardless of skill level and at any stage of the writing process. As a site for local and disciplinary research, the center supports dynamic, progressive and inclusive consulting principles. Our work is further grounded in best practices from the field of rhetoric and composition for university-level writing centers and programs.
