Quality Enhancement Plan

Being culturally aware and productive in a diverse environment is one of the most important skills a student can have. University of Houston-Clear Lake's Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), "Becoming Aware: Cultural Interactions at UHCL," aims to help students develop that and other vital skills.

A QEP is a university wide multi-year plan developed to improve student learning in specific areas using specific co-curricular activities and measurable data. UHCL's QEP involves a five-year commitment to equipping students with the required knowledge, attitudes, and skills to effectively interact with diverse cultures in a positive way.

As part of the plan, students—with the support of faculty and staff—will participate in engaging activities inside the classroom and across campus that will facilitate learning more about themselves, others, and the global environment. UH-Clear Lake, with its representation of 44 countries, serves as the perfect microcosm of this international setting. Learn more about the QEP.
