Fraud and Non-Compliance Notification

November 4, 2025
Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff:
Here at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, we pride ourselves on integrity, and we are steadfast in upholding the highest ethical standards. This commitment is integral to our mission and is a shared responsibility among all students, faculty, and staff. To maintain transparency and accountability, we provide the Fraud & Non-Compliance Hotline, an anonymous reporting tool that allows members of the University of Houston System (UHS) community to report incidents or suspicions of misconduct at a UHS institution.
If you encounter or suspect non-compliance or unethical behavior, such as harassment, sexual misconduct, theft, financial and accounting irregularity, substance abuse, or unsafe conditions, I urge you to utilize this resource. You can confidentially submit your report via a secure online platform or over the phone, with the option to remain anonymous. Alternatively, you can direct your concerns to the Texas State Auditor's Office.
Our Office of Compliance is dedicated to managing compliance reviews, policy oversight, and the administration of our university policies. You can find detailed information about our compliance and ethics program, as well as our Ethics and Conflict of Interest Policy, on the Office of Compliance website.
As your president, I assure you that we take every report seriously and will investigate each diligently. Our collective vigilance is vital in safeguarding UHCL's general welfare and resources.
I appreciate your commitment to making UHCL a model of ethical conduct.Sincerely,
Richard Walker, Ed.D.
President
