Congratulations to Dr. Christopher Maynard

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Today, Texas A&M System Chancellor, Glenn Hegar, and the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents, announced Dr. Christopher Maynard, UHCL Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost, as the sole finalist for the position of President of Texas A&M International University in Laredo. Under Texas law, there is a required twenty-one day waiting period before the board can take final action on the appointment.
 
Over the next few weeks, I will work to identify and announce an Interim Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost along with plans for a search.
 
Please join me in thanking Dr. Maynard for his service to UHCL faculty, staff, and students over the past four years. Congratulations to him on this milestone achievement in his professional career.
