Passing of Cara Williamson

October 13, 2021
Dear UHCL Faculty, Staff and Students:
With sadness, I share the news of the passing of Ms. Cara Williamson. Cara joined
UH-Clear Lake in 1996 as an adjunct in Art & Design and had become a familiar and
friendly face to all. She developed and taught Life Drawing classes and initiated
the use of live models. Cara was full of life, in and outside the classroom, and will
be greatly missed by faculty, friends, and students alike.
I offer my condolences to Cara’s family and all who knew and loved her. Please know
that in times of sadness and/or distress, the Office of Counseling Services can provide
