Dr. Aschenbrener brings more than 25 years of experience and demonstrated record success in various areas, including admissions, academic advising, campus tutorial services, financial aid, the office of the registrar, testing, adult student services, and international student and scholar services.

In his previous position at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Dr. Aschenbrener met or exceeded institutional enrollment goals 8 out of 10 years, demonstrating his ability to develop and implement effective enrollment strategies. Under his leadership, the number of overall first-year applications increased by 15%, and first-year non-resident enrollment increased by 80%. Additionally, he was successful in increasing first-year under-represented minority student enrollment by 70%, reflecting his commitment to diversity and inclusion.

As Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management, Dr. Aschenbrener oversees the university's enrollment management efforts to recruit, enroll and retain a diverse and talented student body. He will work closely with academic affairs, student affairs, and other stakeholders to align enrollment strategies with the university’s academic mission, goals and student success initiatives.
