Intensive Outpatient Behavior Disorders Clinic

 

University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities (CADD) extends its mission to the Pearland area to support research, train professionals, and provide services to children, teens, adults, and their families.

Program Overview

In this free program, learn the skills to help reduce problem behavior, such as aggression, self-injury, property destruction, and elopement. Open to clients up to 21 years old who have been diagnosed with autism.

Each family attends the program for two weeks, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break. We also provide attendance support (such as for school or the Family Medical Leave Act).

Requirements

  • Autism diagnosis
  • 21 years old or younger
  • Texas resident
  • Fully immunized
  • One caregiver must attend an information session before scheduling an appointment
  • One caregiver must stay with the client during all therapy hours for participation and training

Cost

Free to families. This program is offered through generous funding from the Masonic Children & Family Services of Texas.
