Benjamin Bikman
Ben Bikman is an associate professor in physiology and developmental biology at Brigham and Young University in Provo, Utah. His research has led to a paradigm shift in the understanding of the science of low-carbohydrate diets. He has done seminal work on “brown adipose tissue” and its role in resting metabolism. Bikman's research on the homeostatic regulation of insulin versus glucagon refine the understanding and practice of a low-carbohydrate diet.
