Welcome message from our Associate Vice President of Global Learning and Strategy and Senior International Officer
Welcome to the Office of Global Learning and Strategy (GLS) at the University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL)! We are composed of International Admissions and Student Services, the Office of Education Abroad and Scholar Services, and the Diplomacy Institute. As our world becomes more interconnected, GLS remains dedicated to advancing international education to inspire curiosity, understanding and engagement in our students, faculty, and staff at a global level.
International students have always been integral to the UHCL community and we remain committed to enrolling a diverse student body, including students from around the world. Our International Admissions and Student Services team provide advisement and support for our international students and alumnus, including visa and immigration processing. The Office of Education Abroad and Scholar Services (EASS) provides accessible study abroad opportunities and advisement for all UHCL students interested in an education abroad program. To learn more, please attend one of their 101 Education Abroad Information Sessions and begin your education abroad journey today. EASS also provides incoming J-1 visa students and scholars with extensive guidance on the transition to UHCL. Our Diplomacy Institute creates a range of education and training programs for UHCL faculty, staff, and students, diplomats and the community at large to advance diplomacy.
Thank you for visiting our page today. We hope you will find the resources you need to answer your inquiries whether you are a prospective international student or scholar, alum, faculty member interested in leading a faculty-led education abroad program, sponsoring a visiting scholar, or embarking on a U.S. Fulbright Scholar program, a current UHCL student seeking education, internship, or service-learning opportunities abroad, or a potential partner and collaborator.
