• Application

  Apply online through the UHCL Graduate Application Portal for admission to the University of Houston-Clear Lake as a graduate student.

• Requirements

  Domestic applicants with less than a 3.0 GPA, may choose admission to the MBA Launch Track by meeting the following criteria:

  • Completed a bachelor’s degree
  • Applicants to the MBA Launch Track must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.500 (on a 4.0 
    system) from degree granting institution. 
  • If GPA is below a 2.500, applicant will be evaluated based on academic performance and career achievements by the department.

  Must select one of the below Launch Tracks:

  • Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation
  • Healthcare Leadership 
  • Commercialization of Space
  • Human Resource Management
  • Management of Technology 
  • Global Sustainability 
  • Human Resource Management Essentials
  • International Business 
  • Leadership

  GMAT waiver for entry to Launch Track is a 2.5 GPA

  Qualified applicants who are admitted to the MBA Launch Track program must complete their graduate Launch Track with a GPA of 3.000 or greater to be granted acceptance into the MBA core program and receive a standardized test waiver.

Applying After the Priority Deadline

New, non-degree seeking, and returning UHCL students applying after the deadlines above may be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the appropriate graduate enrollment counselor for more information. A $50.00 Late Registration Fee or $50.00 Late Payment may apply.
